What you need to know about the MPOX Vaccine.
- Two doses are required for maximum protection, given at least 28 days apart. The vaccine is most effective two weeks after the second dose.
- All clinics are a judgement free, safe space.
- Vaccines are delivered subcutaneously (under the skin) and will not leave a mark or scar.
- Mpox vaccines are free to all Victorians, however some providers may choose to charge a fee to administer the vaccine. If you do not have Medicare, you can still be vaccinated, but you need to pay private fees to see a GP.
