The Australian College of Optometry offers eye health services at our East Reservoir health centre.
The Australian College of Optometry (ACO) Clinic is independent from Your Community Health, but is conveniently located at our East Reservoir health centre.
Services include:
General services: Clients will receive a comprehensive eye examination to determine eye health and all aspects of your visual function. The ACO can assist with the management of eye diseases, glasses prescription or, if necessary, referral to a specialist. Clients receive expert, high quality care by experienced optometrists or optometry students under full supervision of registered optometrists.
Children’s services: Eye disorders are among the most common long-term health problems experienced by children. The ACO’s paediatric eyecare service offers comprehensive examinations that consist of: vision assessment (checking eye health and clarity of sight for issues such as blurred vision, short or long sightedness or other refractive errors ), ocular muscle assessment (eye movement) and visual perception assessment. The ACO offers primary and advanced optometry services for children of all ages.
Contact lenses: The East Reservoir clinic can fit you with contact lenses if they are a suitable option for you. Information and advice on the use and types of contact lenses will be provided as part of this diagnosis and assessment.
The Australian College of Optometry offers premium eye care to all Victorians, with a focus on ensuring those experiencing difficulty or hardship in the community are able to access high-quality eye care services and affordable glassware without compromising on service or value. We offer bulk billed consultations and subsidised glasses for pensioner, health care and concession card holders.
